จีนผลิต “ดาวเทียม” – วันที่ 18 ม.ค. ซินหัว รายงานความคืบหน้าการพัฒนา ดาวเทียมสื่อสารแถบความถี่กว้างวงโคจรต่ำ (LEO) ชุดแรก โดย กาแล็กซีสเปซ (GalaxySpace) ผู้ผลิตดาวเทียมซึ่งมีสำนักงานใหญ่ในกรุงปักกิ่ง ประเทศจีน ว่า สำเร็จเป็นที่เรียบร้อยแล้ว
ชุดดาวเทียมจำนวน 6 ดวงซึ่งบริษัทกาแล็กซีสเปซผลิตขึ้นในเวลา 11 เดือน ถูกเคลื่อนย้ายไปยังศูนย์ปล่อยดาวเทียมและมีกำหนดยิงขึ้นสู่วงโคจรในไตรมาสแรกของปี 2565 ถือเป็นครั้งแรกที่จีนประสบความสำเร็จในการผลิตดาวเทียมประเภทนี้ในจำนวนมาก
ทั้งนี้ กาแล็กซีสเปซตั้งเป้าสร้างเครือข่ายการสื่อสารระบบอินเตอร์เน็ตผ่านดาวเทียม ที่สามารถให้บริการด้านการสื่อสารได้นานกว่า 30 นาทีต่อครั้ง
The first batch of low-Earth orbit (LEO), broadband communication satellites developed by China’s satellite producer GalaxySpace has rolled off the production line. China successfully launched the Shiyan-13 satellite into orbit on Monday. The purpose of the launch of the satellite is to study near-Earth space, the China Space Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) said in a statement. This is the first time that the country has completed the mass production of LEO broadband communication satellites.
