ประธานาธิบดีหญิงฮอนดูรัส “ติดโควิด” หลังรับตำแหน่งไม่ถึง 2 สัปดาห์
ประธานาธิบดีหญิงฮอนดูรัส – เอเอฟพี รายงานวันที่ 7 ก.พ. ว่า ประธานาธิบดีซิโอมารา กัสโตร ผู้หญิงคนแรกของฮอนดูรัส วัย 62 ปีที่เพิ่งสาบานตนรับตำแหน่งอย่างเป็นทางการเมื่อปลายเดือนม.ค.ที่ผ่านมา เปิดเผยว่าติดเชื้อ โควิด-19
โดยผลตรวจเก็บตัวอย่างเชื้อบริเวณลำคอและหลังโพรงจมูกด้วยวิธีพีซีอาร์เมื่อวันเสาร์ที่ 5 ก.พ. ปรากฏผลเป็นลบ แต่ผลตรวจซ้ำเมื่อวันที่ 6 ก.พ. เป็นบวก อย่างไรก็ตาม นางกัสโตรระบุยังแข็งแรงดี และจะปฏิบัติหน้าที่ตามเดิมระหว่างแยกกักตัว
ขณะที่สถานการณ์โรคโควิด-19 ในฮอนดูรัสยังน่าเป็นห่วง หลังพบผู้ป่วยรายวันเมื่อต้นเดือนก.พ. มากกว่า 5,000 คน ส่งผลให้ยอดติดเชื้อสะสมพุ่งเกือบ 400,000 คน และเสียชีวิตอย่างน้อย 10,548 รา
