สุดสลดเรือล่ม “แกะ” เกือบ 16,000 ตัวจมน้ำ หลายพันตัวเซ่นบรรทุกเกินขนาด
สุดสลดเรือล่ม – เอเอฟพี รายงานว่า เกิดเหตุเรือบรรทุก แกะ นับหมื่นตัวอับปางนอกขณะจอดเทียบท่านอกชายฝั่งเมืองซัวคิน ทางตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของ ประเทศซูดาน ก่อนเดินทางไปยังจุดหมายในซาอุดีอาระเบียเมื่อวันอาทิตย์ที่ 12 มิ.ย. ส่งผลให้แกะหลายพันตัวจมน้ำตาย ส่วนลูกเรือรอดชีวิตหวุดหวิด
ด้านเจ้าหน้าที่ท่าเรือเปิดเผยว่าเรือลำดังกล่าวมีแกะราว 15,800 ตัว เกินกว่าความสามารถในการรองรับน้ำหนักซึ่งสามารถบรรทุกแกะได้สูงสุด 9,000 ตัว
เมื่อลูกเรือพยายามลำเลียงแกะลงเรือเพิ่ม เรือจึงรับน้ำหนักไม่ไหวและพลิกคว่ำ ส่งผลให้แกะจำนวนมากจมน้ำ และบางส่วนได้รับความช่วยเหลือกลับขึ้นฝั่งได้อย่างปลอดภัย มีมูลค่าความเสียหาย 14 ล้านริยัลหรือเกือบ 130 ล้านบาท
