สไปซ์เจ็ต “พักงาน” – บีบีซี รายงานว่า สายการบินสไปซ์เจ็ต สายการบินเอกชนต้นทุนต่ำของอินเดีย มีคำสั่งพักงานนักบิน 2 คนจากกรณีรับประทานขนมและดื่มกาแฟในห้องนักบินขณะปฏิบัติหน้าที่ หนำซ้ำยังโพสต์ภาพมื้อว่างลงบนโซเชียลมีเดียจนเกิดกระแสวิพากษ์วิจารณ์กว้างขวาง
รายงานระบุว่าภาพถ่ายที่กลายเป็นไวรัลเผยให้เห็นแก้วกาแฟที่ไม่มีฝาปิด และขนม “คูชิยา” ขนมมงคลประจำเทศกาลโฮลี วางบนแผงควบคุมระหว่างบินอยู่กลางอากาศที่ระดับความสูง 37,000 ฟุต หรือเกือบ 11,300 เมตร จากกรุงนิวเดลีไปยังเมืองกูวาฮาตี เมื่อวันที่ 8 มี.ค. ที่ผ่านมา

แม้ตามกฎการบินอินเดียอนุญาตให้กัปตันและนักบินผู้ช่วยรับประทานอาหารและเครื่องดื่มได้ แต่ต้องปฏิบัติตามกฎระเบียบ เช่น ปิดฝาเครื่องดื่มป้องกันการหก สายการบินสไปซ์เจ็ตจึงสั่งพักงานนักบินทั้ง 2 คน และเร่งสอบสวน รวมทั้งระบุว่าจะลงโทษฐานประมาท
ด้านนายโมฮัน รังกานาธาน ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการบินและผู้โพสต์รูป กล่าวว่าแม้เครื่องบินสั่นเพียงเล็กน้อยก็อาจจะทำให้กาแฟหกรดใส่อุปกรณ์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์และทำให้ระบบเกิดความผิดพลาดได้ ถือว่าเป็นอาชญากรรมเลยทีเดียว
