ก่อนเกิดไฟไหม้ลุกลามจนเผาวอดเหลือแต่ซาก เบื้องต้นพบผู้เสียชีวิตอย่างน้อย 25 ราย และอีก 8 คนได้รับบาดเจ็บ ด้านตำรวจกำลังเร่งสอบสวนหาสาเหตุ อย่างไรก็ตาม สื่อท้องถิ่นระบุว่าล้อข้างหนึ่งของรถบัสเกิดระเบิด เป็นเหตุให้คนขับสูญเสียการควบคุมและพุ่งชน

“The bus was travelling from Nagpur to Pune when at around 1:35 am it met with an accident on Samruddhi Mahamarg expressway, after which the diesel tank of the bus caught fire,” local police told Reuters TV partner ANI.
