ชายจิตป่วย “ไล่แทง” – บีบีซี และ รอยเตอร์ รายงานวันที่ 3 ธ.ค. ถึงความคืบหน้าเหตุระทึกใน กรุงปารีส เมืองหลวงของ ประเทศฝรั่งเศส หลังคนร้ายใช้มีดโจมตีนักท่องเที่ยวรอบๆ ถนนเกเดอเกรเนล ใกล้ หอไอเฟล ภูมิสัญลักษณ์หรือแลนด์มาร์กของฝรั่งเศส เมื่อเวลาราว 19.00 น. ของวันเสาร์ที่ 2 ธ.ค.ตามเวลาท้องถิ่น
ส่งผลให้มีผู้เสียชีวิต 1 ราย เป็นชายชาวเยอรมนี และบาดเจ็บ 2 คน ส่วนคนร้ายถูกตำรวจจับกุมไม่นานหลังก่อเหตุ

นายเจอราลด์ ดาร์มาแนง รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงมหาดไทยฝรั่งเศส แถลงว่าผู้ต้องสงสัยเป็นชายชาวฝรั่งเศส อายุ 26 ปี ตะโกนวลีสรรเสริญพระเจ้าในศาสนาอิสลามก่อนไล่แทงผู้คน ต่อมาให้การว่าไม่พอใจที่มีชาวมุสลิมจำนวนมากเสียชีวิตในอัฟกานิสถานและในปาเลสไตน์ รวมถึงไม่พอใจกับสถานการณ์ในฉนวนกาซ่า
นอกจากนี้ผู้ต้องสงสัยยังมีประวัติอาชญากรรม เคยถูกตัดสินจำคุก 4 ปี เมื่อปี 2559 ในข้อหาวางแผนก่อการร้าย อยู่ในบัญชีเฝ้าระวังของหน่วยงานความมั่นคงของฝรั่งเศส และมีความบกพร่องทางจิตด้วย
