“ผู้หญิง” บังกลาเทศมากกว่า – ซินหัว รายงานว่า คณะเจ้าหน้าที่รัฐบาล บังกลาเทศ แถลงข่าวว่าบังกลาเทศมีประชากรผู้หญิงมากกว่าผู้ชายเป็นครั้งแรกในประวัติศาสตร์
รายงานระบุว่าประชากรของบังกลาเทศในปี 2565 รวมอยู่ที่กว่า 165 ล้านคน เพิ่มขึ้นจากปี 2554 ซึ่งอยู่ที่ 144 ล้านคน ข้อมูลเบื้องต้นจากการสำรวจสำมะโนประชากรและการเคหะ ครั้งที่ 6 พบว่าปัจจุบันบังกลาเทศมีประชากร 165,158,616 คน
ประชากรของบังกลาเทศเป็นผู้หญิงราว 83.35 ล้านคน และผู้ชาย 81.71 ล้านคน ส่วนประชากรเพศที่สามอยู่ที่ 12,629 คน รายงานระบุอีกว่าภูมิภาคธากาซึ่งครอบคลุม 13 เขตท้องถิ่น มีประชาชนอาศัยอยู่มากกว่า 44 ล้านคน
