สปป.ลาวอ่วม “ไข้เลือดออก” – ซินหัว รายงานว่า กระทรวงสาธารณสุขของสปป.ลาว รายงานยอดผู้ป่วย โรคไข้เลือดออก ในประเทศนับตั้งแต่เดือนม.ค.ที่ผ่านมา มีอย่างน้อย 18,043 คน และเสียชีวิตแล้ว 17 ราย พร้อมกระตุ้นเตือนทางการและประชาชนทั่วประเทศระมัดระวังและช่วยควบคุมการระบาด
ศูนย์ข้อมูลและการศึกษาเพื่อสุขภาพ สังกัดกระทรวงสาธารณสุข ระบุว่ากรุงเวียงจันทน์ตรวจพบผู้ป่วยโรคไข้เลือดออกมากที่สุดถึง 9,114 คน ตามด้วยแขวงหลวงน้ำทา 2,235 คน แขวงสาละวัน 1,180 คน และแขวงอัตตะปือ 1,176 คน

สำหรับผู้เสียชีวิตจากโรคไข้เลือดออก 17 ราย ส่วนหนึ่งอยู่ในกรุงเวียงจันทน์ 5 ราย แขวงอัตตะปือ 4 ราย แขวงสาละวัน 3 ราย แขวงน้ำทาและแขวงเชียงขวางรวม 2 ราย และแขวงอุดมไซ 1 ราย
ข้อมูลจากองค์การอนามัยโลก (WHO) เผยว่าปัจจุบันไข้เลือดออกเป็นโรคติดเชื้อไวรัสที่มียุงเป็นพาหะที่แพร่กระจายรวดเร็วที่สุด โดยไทย เวียดนาม ฟิลิปปินส์ และสิงคโปร์ ตรวจพบผู้ป่วยระดับสูง ขณะยอดผู้ป่วยในภูมิภาคแปซิฟิกตะวันตกพุ่งเป็นมากกว่าสองเท่าในช่วง 10 ปีที่ผ่านมา
