อินโดนีเซียสลด! – วันที่ 7 พ.ย. เอเอฟพี รายงานกระแสวิตกกังวลใน ประเทศอินโดนีเซีย หลังกระทรวงสาธารณสุขแถลงว่า ตั้งแต่ต้นปี 2565 มีเด็กชาวอินโดนีเซียป่วยด้วย “ภาวะไตวายเฉียบพลัน” (เอเคไอ) ซึ่งอาจเชื่อมโยงกับยาน้ำแก้ไข้หวัดหรือยาน้ำแก้ไอ สะสมเป็นกว่า 320 คน ในจำนวนนี้ 195 คนเสียชีวิต และอีก 27 คนยังต้องพักรักษาตัวในโรงพยาบาลภายใต้การดูแลของแพทย์อย่างใกล้ชิด

นายโมฮัมหมัด ซยาฮ์ริล โฆษกกระทรวงสาธารณสุขระบุอีกว่า ยอดเด็กที่เสียชีวิตเมื่อวันที่ 21 ต.ค. อยู่ที่ 133 ราย และไม่ถึง 3 สัปดาห์ก็เพิ่มมากกว่า 60 รายเป็น 195 ราย
ทั้งที่สำนักงานอาหารและยาอินโดนีเซีย (บีพีโอเอ็ม) เพิกถอนใบอนุญาตผลิตยาน้ำแก้ไข้หวัดหรือแก้ไอของบริษัทผู้ผลิตยาในประเทศ 2 แห่ง จากการละเมิดมาตรการบังคับใช้ภายหลังทางการประกาศห้ามจำหน่ายและห้ามออกใบสั่งยาน้ำเชื่อม รวมถึงยาน้ำทุกชนิด เนื่องจากต้องสงสัยว่ามีตัวยาที่ก่อให้เกิดภาวะไตวายเฉียบพลันในเด็ก
