นอกจากความร่วมมือแล้ว รัฐบาลสหรัฐยังออกคำสั่งระงับกฎหมายซีซาร์ซึ่งบังคับใช้มาตรการคว่ำบาตรรัฐบาลซีเรียชุดก่อนตั้งแต่ปี 2562 เป็นเวลา 180 วัน นายทรัมป์กล่าวกับสื่อมวลชนที่ห้องทำงานรูปไข่หลังการประชุมว่า “เราต้องการเห็นซีเรียกลายเป็นประเทศที่ประสบความสำเร็จอย่างมากและผมคิดว่าผู้นำคนนี้สามารถทำได้ ผมคิดว่าเขาจะทำได้จริงๆ”
