ยอดผู้เสียชีวิตเพิ่มเป็น 7 ราย และเจ้าหน้าที่ยุติปฏิบัติการกู้ภัยหลังช่วยเหลือผู้รอดชีวิต 4 ราย พบผู้สูญหาย 2 ราย และเก็บกู้ศพเพิ่มอีก 3 ราย ส่วนสาเหตุเกิดจากฝนตกหนักต่อเนื่อง
นางเดเซียนา การ์ติกา บาฮารี หัวหน้าหน่วยกู้ภัยเมืองเบอกาซี กล่าวว่าเจ้าหน้าที่กู้ภัยกว่า 200 คนระดมกำลังปฏิบัติภารกิจโดยใช้รถขุดและโดรนตรวจจับความร้อนในการค้นหาผู้ประสบภัยที่บ่อขยะบันตาร์เกบังซึ่งมีพื้นที่ประมาณ 687.5 ไร่ แลสามารถะรับขยะได้มากถึง 6,500-7,000 ตันต่อวัน
