ขณะที่ทางการท้องถิ่นระบุว่า ปฏิบัติการค้นหาและกู้ภัยเสร็จสิ้นลงแล้วเมื่อช่วงเที่ยงของวันที่ 30 มี.ค. หลังพบเหยื่อที่ติดอยู่ในอาคารทั้งหมด 9 คน ในจำนวนนี้ 2 คนที่รอดชีวิตถูกส่งตัวไปโรงพยาบาลเพื่อเข้ารับการรักษา และอาการไม่เป็นอันตรายถึงชีวิต ส่วนสาเหตุยังอยู่ระหว่างการสอบสวน
ด้านไชน่านิวส์วีครายงานว่า จุดเกิดเหตุเป็นอาคารสูง 3 ชั้น ตั้งอยู่ไม่ไกลจากสถานีรถไฟเมืองไห่หลิน โดยอาคารแห่งนี้เป็นที่ตั้งของร้านอาหารหม้อไฟและร้านคาราโอเกะ

According to the statement on Hailin authority’s WeChat account, the incident occurred at around 12 am on Sunday. Rescue operations were completed at 11:27 am on Monday. The two survivors were hospitalized for treatment and were without life-threating danger. A report by China Newsweek on Sunday said the collapsed structure was a three-story building located not far from Hailin Railway Station. It was jointly used by a hotpot restaurant and a karaoke venue. (China News Network)
