ตื่นตาพบ “เหรียญเงินยุคไวกิง” – ซินหัว รายงานว่า พิพิธภัณฑ์เมืองลาห์ตี ประเทศฟินแลนด์ ค้นพบกรุ “เหรียญเงินยุคไวกิง” (ระหว่างปีค.ศ.793-1066 หรือพ.ศ.1336-1609) หลายพันเหรียญ น้ำหนักรวมราว 4.5 กิโลกรัม ในเขตเทศบาลซิสมา ทางตอนใต้ เมื่อวันที่ 3 ก.ย. ถือว่าเป็นการค้นพบเหรียญเงินยุคไวกิงที่มีขนาดใหญ่ที่สุดในฟินแลนด์
นอกจากนี้ยังพบเศษชิ้นส่วนเงินที่ใช้แทนเงินตรา กำไลข้อมือเงิน ชิ้นส่วนตกแต่งทำจากเงิน และลูกปัดเงินอยู่ในภาชนะทำจากเปลือกไม้เบิร์ช 2 ใบ ที่อยู่ห่างกันราว 12 เมตร ลึกลงไปใต้ดินราว 45 เซนติเมตร
ตื่นตาพบ “เหรียญเงินยุคไวกิง” – Finland’s largest known Viking Age silver coin hoard has been discovered in the municipality of Sysma, southern Finland, Lahti City Museums said in a press release. The hoard dates to the Viking Age, commonly considered to have lasted from 793 to 1066 in European history. ตื่นตาพบ “เหรียญเงินยุคไวกิง” – The site was inspected the following day, and the hoard was recovered under the direction of Esko Tikkala, an archaeologist with Lahti City Museums. The museum has confirmed it was the largest Viking Age coin hoard discovered in Finland to date. In addition to silver coins, the hoard contains a fragment of silver used as payment, a silver bracelet, a silver fitting and a silver bead. (Lahti City Museums)
The coins and other objects had been placed in two birch-bark containers and buried about 45 centimeters underground between stones. The two containers were about 12 meters apart. The coins weigh a total of approximately 4.5 kg. As they have yet to be cleaned, separated or counted, their exact weight and number, as well as their more precise dating, will be determined through further research. The museum said the hoard contains thousands of coins. (Lahti City Museums)
