ฮ่องกงระส่ำ! – วันที่ 11 พ.ย. ซีเอ็นเอ็น รายงานสถานการณ์ความขัดแย้งในฮ่องกงที่ตึงเครียดและรุนแรงขึ้น หลังเกิดเหตุชายคนหนึ่งถูกคนร้ายไม่ทราบฝ่ายสาดน้ำมันและจุดไฟเผา หลังเผชิญหน้ากับกลุ่มผู้ประท้วงใกล้สถานีรถไฟใต้ดินหม่าออนซาน เขตนิวเทร์ริทอรีส์ เมื่อช่วงบ่ายตามเวลาท้องถิ่น

จากคลิปวิดีโอแสดงให้เห็นชายไม่ทราบชื่อกำลังต่อว่าและใช้คำหยาบคายกล่าวกับกลุ่มผู้ประท้วง ก่อนตะโกนว่า “พวกคุณไม่ใช่คนจีน” จู่ๆ ชายที่อยู่นอกมุมกล้องที่กำลังบันทึกภาพ ก็สาดของเหลวไวไฟ และใช้ไฟแช็กจุดไฟใส่ชายคนดังกล่าว ส่งผลให้ไฟลุกท่วมตัว

ชายคนเดิมที่ยังตกใจกับสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นวิ่งไปด้านหน้าที่มีกลุ่มคนยืนอยู่ ซึ่งช่วยเหลือ และพยายามดึงเสื้อไหม้ไฟออก ด้านสื่อท้องถิ่นระบุว่าเจ้าหน้าที่เร่งนำตัวส่งโรงพยาบาลในย่านซาถิ่น เบื้องต้นอาการยังสาหัส และอยู่ในแผนกไอซียู
