ยานส่งเสบียง “โปรเกรส” ทุบสถิติเดินทางถึงสถานีอวกาศ “เร็วสุด” ในประวัติศาสตร์
ยานส่งเสบียง “โปรเกรส” – เอเอฟพี รายงานวันที่ 25 เม.ย. ถึงความสำเร็จในวงการอวกาศ หลังจากยานขนส่งเสบียง โปรเกรส เอ็มเอส-14 ของรัสเซีย ทุบสถิติหลังเดินทางโดยจรวดโซยุซจากฐานปล่อยไบโคนูร์คอสโมโดรม ในคาซัคสถาน มาถึงสถานีอวกาศนานาชาติ (ไอเอสเอส) เมื่อเวลา 05.12 น. ตามเวลามาตรฐานสากล
โดยใช้เวลาเพียง 3 ชั่วโมงกับอีก 20 นาที ขึ้นแท่นเป็นเที่ยวบินอวกาศที่เร็วที่สุดในประวัติศาสตร์
The Progress capsule was launched atop a giant Soyuz rocket from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, reaching the space station in just three hours and 20 minutes, making it “the fastest spacecraft in the history of flights to the ISS,” /AFP/File
นอกจากยานโปรเกรสจะมีภารกิจหลักในการขนส่งของใช้จำเป็นสำหรับนักบินอวกาศที่ประจำการบนไอเอสเอส ซึ่งครั้งนี้บรรทุกเชื้อเพลิง น้ำ อาหาร อุปกรณ์ทางวิทยาศาสตร์ เสื้อผ้า และยา น้ำหนักรวม 2.5 ตัน
การทำลายสถิติในครั้งนี้ยังถือเป็นการเฉลิมฉลองครบรอบ 75 ปี วันชัยในทวีปยุโรปภายหลังกองทัพนาซีเยอรมันยอมจำนนอย่างไม่มีเงื่อนไขหลังพ่ายสงครามโลกครั้งที่ 2 เมื่อปี 2488
ซึ่งปกติรัสเซียจะฉลองด้วยการจัดพิธีสวนสนามแสดงแสนยานุภาพของกองทัพอย่างยิ่งใหญ่ที่จัตุรัสแดงในกรุงมอสโก ในวันที่ 9 พ.ค.ของทุกปี แต่เพราะปีนี้มีวิกฤตโควิด-19 แพร่ระบาด ประธานาธิบดีวลาดีเมียร์ ปูติน ผู้นำรัสเซีย จึงประกาศให้เลื่อนการจัดกิจกรรมออกไป
