โจ ไบเดน ควง “คู่หู” – วันที่ 13 ส.ค. บีบีซี รายงานว่า นายโจ ไบเดน ผู้แทนพรรคเดโมแครตในศึกเลือกตั้งประธานาธิบดีสหรัฐอเมริกา ปรากฏตัวร่วมรณรงค์หาเสียงเป็นครั้งแรกกับ น.ส.คามาลา แฮร์ริส ส.ว.รัฐแคลิฟอร์เนีย คู่หูชิงตำแหน่งรองประธานาธิบดี หรือ รันนิ่งเมต ที่เมืองวิลมิงตัน รัฐเดลาแวร์
โดยนายไบเดนกล่าวถึงประเด็นที่ ประธานาธิบดีโดนัลด์ ทรัมป์ โจมตีการตัดสินใจเลือกรันนิ่งเมตของตน และต่อว่าน.ส.แฮร์ริสว่าเป็นคนหยาบคาย “ไม่น่าแปลกใจเลยเพราะการเหวี่ยงวีนเป็นสิ่งที่ทรัมป์ทำได้ดีที่สุด ดีกว่าประธานาธิบดีคนไหนในประวัติศาสตร์อเมริกาเสียอีก”
ขณะที่น.ส.แฮร์ริสกล่าวว่าตนพร้อมทำงานเพื่อประเทศชาติ และว่านายทรัมป์ได้ประโยชน์จากระบบเศรษฐกิจที่ขยายตัวเป็นประวัติการณ์จากสมัยนายบารัก โอบามา แต่ก็ทำพังไม่เป็นท่า

President Trump said Joe Biden running mate Kamala Harris was “nasty” and “disrespectful” to Biden, offering his first reaction to Biden’s pick of Harris Tuesday. The Trump campaign already had an ad prepared, going after Harris as part of the “radical left” and “phony.” REUTERS
Mr Biden said: “It’s not a surprise because whining is what Donald Trump does best, better than any president in American history. REUTERS
“Is anybody surprised that Donald Trump has a problem with a strong woman, or strong women across the board?” He also attacked Mr Trump’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic, climate change, the unemployment rate and “his politics of racist rhetoric that appeals to division”. REUTERS
Ms Harris said: “He [Mr Trump] inherited the longest economic expansion in history from Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Ms Harris added: “This is what happens when we elect a guy who just isn’t up to the job – our country ends up in tatters, and so does our reputation around the world.” REUTERS
