จับตาเลือกตั้งกินี! – วันที่ 18 ต.ค. บีบีซี รายงานว่า ประชาชนชาวกินีทยอยเดินทางไปเลือกตั้งประธานาธิบดี ซึ่ง ประธานาธิบดีอาลฟา กงเด วัย 82 ปี ลงสมัครรับเลือกตั้งอีกครั้งและหวังว่าจะได้นั่งเก้าอี้ผู้นำประเทศเป็นสมัยที่ 3 ท่ามกลางความไม่พอใจของประชาชนจำนวนมาก
จากกรณีที่นายกงเดเดินหน้าแก้ร่างรัฐธรรมนูญขยายวาระบริหารประเทศเพื่อเปิดช่องทางให้ตนสามารถรั้งอำนาจต่อไปได้ ทั้งนี้ ผู้ชนะการเลือกตั้งต้องได้คะแนนมากกว่าร้อยละ 50 หากไม่มีผู้สมัครคนไหนคะแนนถึง จะต้องไปตัดสินต่อในการเลือกตั้งรอบสองในวันที่ 24 พ.ย.
นอกจากสถานการณ์ทางการเมืองจะระอุแล้ว ประชาชนยังหวาดวิตกว่ากองทัพอาจเข้ามาแทรกแซงการเมืองอีกครั้ง ภายหลังรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหมกินีแถลงเมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 16 ต.ค.ที่ผ่านมาว่า
เจ้าหน้าที่ทหารจำนวนหนึ่งลอบเคลื่อนพลมายังค่ายทหารในเมืองคินเดีย ห่างจากกรุงโกนากรีไปทางตะวันออกราว 130 กิโลเมตร และกราดยิงสังหารพ.อ.มามาดี กงเด ผู้บังคับการหน่วยกองกำลังพิเศษ จนเสียชีวิต
อย่างไรก็ตาม ทางการสามารถควบคุมสถานการณ์ได้แล้ว รวมทั้งกำลังเร่งสอบสวนหาสาเหตุและจะดำเนินคดีกับเจ้าหน้าที่ซึ่งอยู่เบื้องหลังเหตุสลดครั้งนี้

On Friday, the minister of defence issued a statement saying that a group of soldiers had entered a military camp in Kindia, a city 130km (80 miles) east of the capital Conakry, and killed its commander, Col Mamady Condé. /anoncandanga/
Some reports spoke of an army mutiny, but the authorities later said they were in control and that a search was under way to find the soldiers. /eminetra/
