หวั่นเซ่น “หว่ามก๋อ” – วันที่ 14 พ.ย. รอยเตอร์ และ มะนิลาบุลเลติน รายงานความคืบหน้าเหตุภัยพิบัติใน ฟิลิปปินส์ หลังจาก พายุไต้ฝุ่นหว่ามก๋อ พัดถล่มเกาะลูซอน รวมถึงกรุงมะนิลา และพื้นที่รอบเขตเมืองหลวง ตั้งแต่กลางสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมาว่า ยอดผู้เสียชีวิตเพิ่มขึ้นเป็นอย่างน้อย 42 ราย แต่คาดว่าจะสูงขึ้นเพราะมีผู้สูญหายราว 20 คน
ขณะที่หลายเมืองในจังหวัดคากายัน ทางตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของเกาะลูซอน ยังเผชิญกับน้ำท่วมสูงเนื่องจากทางการท้องถิ่นตัดสินใจเปิดประตูเขื่อนมากัตเพื่อลดระดับน้ำที่เพิ่มสูงถึงจนเข้าขั้นวิกฤตเกือบ 193 เมตร เมื่อช่วงเช้าวันเสาร์ตามเวลาท้องถิ่น ส่งผลให้ประชาชนหลายพันครัวเรือนต้องอพยพขึ้นไปอาศัยอยู่บนหลังคาบ้าน
ด้านหน่วยงานยามชายฟิลิปปินส์แถลงว่าจะเร่งส่งเจ้าหน้าที่และเรือยางจำนวนหนึ่งเข้าอพยพผู้ประสบภัยในเมืองตูเกกาเราและเมืองใกล้เคียง
