แอฟริกาใต้เร่งสอบ “เลขล็อก” – วันที่ 3 ธ.ค. การ์เดียน รายงานว่า โฆษกคณะกรรมการลอตเตอรีแห่งชาติของแอฟริกาใต้ (เอ็นแอลซี) ระบุว่าจะเร่งตรวจสอบการออกเลขรางวัลงวดวันที่ 1 ธ.ค.ที่ผ่านมา หลังเกิดกระแสวิพากษ์วิจารณ์ว่ามีการล็อกตัวเลข เนื่องจากรางวัลเป็นเลขเรียงกัน 5 6 7 8 และ 9 ขณะที่เลขเพาเวอร์บอลคือ 10
มีผู้ได้รางวัลด้วยกัน 20 คน โดยแต่ละคนจะได้รับเงิน 5.7 แรนด์ หรือราว 11.2 ล้านบาท นอกจากนี้ยังมีผู้โชคดีอีก 79 คน ถูกรางวัลจากตั๋วเลขเรียง แต่เลขเพาเวอร์บแลไม่ตรง จะได้เงินคนละ 12,400 บาท
ทั้งนี้ ความน่าจะเป็นในการถูกลอตเตอรีของแอฟริกาใต้อยู่ที่ 1 ใน 42.37 ล้าน นอกจากความยากในการคว้าเงินรางวัลแล้ว การออกหมายเลขเรียงลำดับกัน 5 หลัก และยังเรียงกันต่อเนื่องในเลขเพาเวอร์บอลซึ่งเป็นการสุ่มจากทั้งหมด 20 หมายเลข ยิ่งทำให้นักเสี่ยงโชคและชาวเน็ตเชื่อว่ามีการล็อกเลข
