จีนฉลุยใช้วัคซีน “ซิโนฟาร์ม” มีประสิทธิภาพ 79% เผยฉีดกลุ่มเสี่ยงแล้ว 4.5 ล้านคน
จีนฉลุยใช้วัคซีน – วันที่ 31 ธ.ค. ซีเอ็นเอ็น รายงานว่า ซิโนฟาร์ม บริษัทเภสัชภัณฑ์ของจีน ระบุว่าสํานักงานควบคุมยาแห่งชาติจีนอนุมัติแบบมีเงื่อนไขให้สามารถจำหน่ายและใช้ วัคซีนป้องกันโรคโควิด-19 ที่ซิโนฟาร์มพัฒนาขึ้น ภายหลังเปิดเผยการทดลองทางคลินิกระยะที่ 3 ซึ่งอยู่ระหว่างการทดสอบ พบว่าวัคซีนดังกล่าวมีประสิทธิภาพป้องกันเขื้อไวรัสมรณะได้ถึงร้อยละ 79.34
ทั้งนี้ จีนฉีดวัคซีนให้กับกลุ่มผู้มีความเสี่ยงมากกว่า 3 ล้านคนนับตั้งแต่วันที่ 15 ธ.ค. และเคยดำเนินการฉีดวัคซีนฉุกเฉินในกลุ่มมีความเสี่ยงสูง 1.5 ล้านคนเมื่อปลายเดือนพ.ย.
ก่อนหน้านี้นายแมตต์ แฮนค็อก รมว.สาธารณสุขสหราชอาณาจักร แถลงว่าทางการอนุมัติใช้วัคซีนของ อ็อกซ์ฟอร์ด-แอสตราเซเนกา เป็นวัคซีนตัวที่สองต่อจาก วัคซีนไฟเซอร์-บิออนเทค ของสหรัฐที่พัฒนาร่วมกับบริษัทในเยอรมนี โดยสั่งซื้อล็อตแรกจำนวน 100 ล้านโดสซึ่งเพียงพอสำหรับ 50 ล้านคน ถือเป็นอีกความพยายามในการยับยั้งโรคโควิด-19 ท่ามกลางการเผชิญหน้ากับวิกฤตเชื้อโควิดกลายพันธุ์ที่ลามระบาดต่อเนื่อง
สำหรับจำนวนผู้ป่วยใหม่ในจีนพบอีก 25 คน ส่งผลให้ยอดติดเชื้อสะสมเพิ่มเป็น 87,052 คน เสียชีวิตอย่างน้อย 4,634 ราย และรักษาหาย 82,050 คน
