จีนทลายแก๊ง “วัคซีนปลอม” – วันที่ 2 ก.พ. สเตรตส์ไทมส์ รายงานจากสำนักข่าวซินหัวว่า ตำรวจจีนแถลงความคืบหน้าปฏิบัติการทลายขบวนการจำหน่าย วัคซีนป้องกันโรคโควิด-19 ปลอม ในหลายพื้นที่ ครอบคลุมถึงกรุงปักกิ่ง นครเซี่ยงไฮ้ และในมณฑลชานตง ทางภาคตะวันออก สามารถจับกุมผู้ต้องสงสัยได้มากกว่า 80 คน และของกลางเป็นวัคซีนปลอมเกิน 3,000 โดส
รายงานระบุว่ากลุ่มผู้ต้องสงสัยเริ่มขบวนการค้าวัคซีนปลอมตั้งแต่เดือนก.ย.2563 โดยใช้เข็มฉีดยาสูบน้ำเกลือเข้าไปในเข็ม และหลอกว่าน้ำเกลือเป็นวัคซีน ด้านโกลบอลไทมส์รายงานจากแหล่งข่าวใกล้ชิดบริษัทผู้ผลิตวัคซีนรายใหญ่ในประเทศว่าขบวนการวัคซีนปลอมมีความต้องการส่งออกวัคซีนเหล่านี้ไปจำหน่ายในต่างประเทศ
สำหรับสถานการณ์โรคโควิด-19 ในประเทศจีนนั้น คณะกรรมการด้านสุขภาพแห่งชาติระบุพบผู้ป่วยใหม่อีก 30 คน ส่งผลให้ยอดติดเชื้อสะสมเพิ่มเป็น 89,594 คน และเสียชีวิตอย่างน้อย 4,636 ราย
