ควีนประชุมด่วน! – มิร์เรอร์ รายงานวันที่ 18 ก.พ. ว่า สมเด็จพระราชินีนาถอลิซาเบธที่ 2 แห่งอังกฤษ ทรงเรียกประชุมที่ปรึกษาราชสำนักเป็นการฉุกเฉินเพื่อปรับเปลี่ยนองค์อุปถัมภ์ขององค์กรในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ที่สมเด็จพระราชินีอลิซาเบธทรงพระราชทานแก่ เจ้าชายแฮร์รี และ เมแกน มาร์เคิล ดัชเชสแห่งซัสเส็กซ์ พระชายา โดยเจ้าชายแฮรี่มีองค์กรในความดูแล 16 องค์กร ส่วนดัสเชสเมแกนเป็นองค์อุปถัมถ์ 4 องค์กร
ภายหลังมีรายงานว่าดยุกและดัชเชสแห่งซัสเส็กซ์ทรงตกลงจะให้สัมภาษณ์โอปราห์ วินฟรีย์ พิธีกรหญิงชื่อดังของสหรัฐ เกี่ยวกับการลาออกจากการเป็นสมาชิกระดับสูงของราชวงศ์อังกฤษ หรือที่สื่อเรียกว่า “เม็กซิต” (Megxit) แบบหมดเปลือก
ด้านแหล่งข่าวราชวงศ์อังกฤษระบุคาดว่าสำนักพระราชวังจะแถลงถึงการเปลี่ยนแปลงก่อนวันที่ 31 มี.ค.นี้ ซึ่งเป็นกำหนดครบ 12 เดือนในการทบทวนการลาออกของเจ้าชายแฮร์รีและพระชายา
