แฉจนท.รถพยาบาล – วันที่ 13 พ.ค. มิร์เรอร์ รายงานกระแสวิพากษ์วิจารณ์กว้างขวางในประเทศอินเดีย กรณีพบศพผู้ต้องสงสัยติดเชื้อโควิด-19 จำนวนมากเกยริมฝั่งแม่น้ำคงคาในช่วงหลายวันที่ผ่านมานั้น
ปรากฏว่ามีคลิปวิดีโอฉาวกระฉ่อนถูกโพสต์บนโลกออนไลน์ เผยให้คนขับรถพยาบาลฉุกเฉินนำศพจำนวนหนึ่งจากท้ายรถไปโยนทิ้งสะพานข้ามแม่น้ำคงคาในเมืองกติหาร รัฐพิหาร ซึ่งทางการท้องถิ่นระบุว่าเจอศพเกยฝั่งแม่น้ำแล้วอย่างน้อย 71 ศพ

นายชนาร์ธาน สีคิวัล สมาชิกสภารัฐพิหาร กล่าวอ้างว่าผู้เสียชีวิตที่พบเกยฝั่งแม่น้ำคงคาเป็นฝีมือของเจ้าหน้าที่ขับรถพยาบาลฉุกเฉิน ด้านสื่อท้องถิ่นรายงานว่าศพถูกนำมาทิ้งเพราะครอบครัวไม่มีเงินมากพอจะซื้อไม้เพื่อประกอบพิธีเผาศพ ขณะที่ทางการเมืองกติหารแถลงว่ากำลังเร่งตรวจสอบคลิปวิดีโอและหน่วยงานที่อยู่เกี่ยวข้องกับการนำศพมาทิ้งแม่น้ำ
สำหรับสถานการณ์โรคโควิด กระทรวงสาธารณสุขอินเดียระบุพบผู้ติดเชื้ออีก 362,406 คนในช่วง 24 ชั่วโมงเมื่อวันที่ 12 พ.ค. ส่งผลให้ยอดป่วยสะสมเพิ่มเป็น 23.7 ล้านคน และเสียชีวิตแล้ว 258,351 ราย
