อินเดีย 1.5 แสนคนหนี “ไซโคลนถล่ม” ซ้ำเติมวิกฤตโควิด-ป่วยพุ่ง 25 ล้าน!
อินเดีย 1.5 แสนคนหนี – วันที่ 17 พ.ค. รอยเตอร์ และ สเตรตส์ไทมส์ รายงานความคืบหน้าสถานการณ์ภัยพิบัติใน ประเทศอินเดีย หลังจาก พายุไซโคลนเตาะแต่ ที่ความเร็วลมสูงสุด 175 กิโลเมตรต่อชั่วโมง เคลื่อนตัวเข้าใกล้ชายฝั่งภาคตะวันตก และจะพัดถล่มรัฐคุชราตช่วงเช้าวันอังคารที่ 18 พ.ค.ตามเวลาท้องถิ่น
ส่งผลให้ทางการรัฐคุชราตเร่งอพยพประชาชนเกือบ 150,000 คนในพื้นที่ลุ่มต่ำ ขณะที่รัฐกัว และรัฐกรณาฏกะ ทางตะวันตกเฉียงใต้ พบผู้เสียชีวิตแล้วอย่างน้อย 6 ราย
ด้านหน่วยงานยามชายฝั่งรัฐทมิฬนาฑูระบุมีเรือ 31 ลำสูญหาย ส่วนสำนักงานอุตุนิยมวิทยาอินเดียแถลงเตือนว่าอิทธิพลของพายุก่อให้เกิดฝนตกหนักต่อเนื่อง ลมกระโชกแรง น้ำท่วมเป็นบริเวณกว้าง และคาดว่าจะส่งผลกระทบต่อการเดินรถไฟในภาคตะวันตกตลอดทั้งสัปดาห์นี้
ขณะเดียวกันหลายฝ่ายกังวลว่าพายุจะซ้ำเติมให้วิกฤตโควิด-19 ในอินเดียยิ่งเลวร้ายขึ้น แม้ผู้ติดเชื้อใหม่จะลดลงจากกว่า 3 แสนคนเป็น 281,860 คนในช่วง 24 ชั่วโมงเมื่อวันที่ 16 พ.ค. แต่ถือเป็นประเทศที่มีผู้ป่วยรายวันสูงที่สุดในโลก ส่งผลให้ยอดสะสมเฉียด 25 ล้านคน และเสียชีวิตแล้ว 274,411 ราย
