WHO จับตาโควิดกลายพันธุ์ – วันที่ 17 มิ.ย. ซินหัว รายงานองค์การอนามัยโลก (WHO) แถลงเมื่อวันที่ 15 มิ.ย. เพิ่มโควิดกลายพันธุ์ “แลมบ์ด้า” เป็นสายพันธุ์ที่น่าสนใจ หลังระบาดแล้ว 29 ประเทศ
เบื้องต้นพบว่าสายพันธุ์แลมบ์ดามีการกลายพันธุ์ที่อาจเพิ่มความสามารถในการแพร่เชื้อหรือความต้านทานต่อแอนติบอดี แต่ยังต้องศึกษาเพิ่มเติมอย่างละเอียด
ทั้งนี้ โควิดสายพันธุ์แลมบ์ด้าพบครั้งแรกในเปรูและตั้งแต่เดือนเม.ย.2564 ผู้ป่วยมากกว่าร้อยละ 81 ในประเทศ ติดไวรัสสายพันธุ์ดังกล่าว ขณะที่ในประเทศชิลีพบผู้ป่วยสายพันธุ์แลมบ์ดาร้อยละ 32 ส่วนอาร์เจนตินาและเอกวาดอร์มีรายงานพบผู้ติดเชื้อเช่นกัน
