ยุโรปสลด “พลุฉลองปีใหม่” – วันที่ 2 ม.ค. บีบีซี รายงานว่าในช่วงเฉลิมฉลอง ส่งท้ายปีเก่าต้อนรับปีใหม่ 2565 หลายประเทศในยุโรปมีผู้เสียชีวิตและบาดเจ็บจากการจุด ดอกไม้ไฟ ทั้งที่ทางการประกาศห้ามจุดพลุ
ที่เนเธอร์แลนด์พบเด็กชายวัย 12 ปี เสียชีวิตขณะนั่งดูผู้ใหญ่จุดดอกไม้ไฟในระยะใกล้ และมีเด็กอีกคนบาดเจ็บสาหัส นอกจากนี้สื่อท้องถิ่นระบุว่ามีผู้บาดเจ็บจากพลุอย่างน้อย 80 คนเข้ารับการรักษาที่โรงพยาบาล ในจำนวนนี้มีหลายคนสูญเสียมือและขาจากการระเบิดรุนแรงของดอกไม้ไฟ
ขณะที่สำนักข่าวดีพีเอของเยอรมนีรายงานว่า ชายวัย 37 ปีเสียชีวิตในเหตุพลุระเบิดที่เมืองเฮนเนฟ รัฐนอร์ทไรน์-เวสท์ฟาเลิน และเจ้าหน้าที่กำลังเร่งสอบสวนหาสาเหตุ ออสเตรียมีเหตุเกี่ยวข้องกับดอกไม้ไฟจำนวนมาก รวมถึงกรณีชายวัย 23 ปีที่เสียชีวิตหลังเข้าไปตรวจดูดอกไม้ไฟซึ่งจุดไม่ติด
