รายงานระบุว่ากลุ่มนักดูนกในอำเภอตงผิง เมืองไท่อัน พบเห็น “เป็ดดำหัวดำ” (Baer’s pochard) ในทะเลสาบตงผิงและแม่น้ำต้าเวิ่น ใกล้ภูเขาไท่ซาน แหล่งมรดกโลกยอดนิยมขององค์การยูเนสโก (ยูเนสโก) มากกว่า 1,500 ตัว
เป็ดดำหัวดำอาศัยอยู่ในจีน มองโกเลีย และบังกลาเทศเป็นหลัก และได้รับการขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นสายพันธุ์ใกล้สูญพันธุ์อย่างยิ่งโดยสหภาพระหว่างประเทศเพื่อการอนุรักษ์ธรรมชาติ (IUCN)
ทั้งนี้ จำนวนเป็ดสายพันธุ์ดังกล่าวที่พบเห็นครั้งนี้สูงเกินจำนวนทั้งหมดที่มีการบันทึกในจีนเมื่อปี 2563 ซึ่งบ่งชี้สภาพแวดล้อมทางนิเวศที่ดีขึ้นในพื้นที่ภูเขาไท่ซาน
More than 1,500 ducks of the Baer’s pochard, a type of diving duck, were spotted in the Dongping Lake and Dawen River near the Taishan Mountain, a popular UNESCO World Heritage site. A species under first-class state protection in China, these ducks were spotted by local birders from Dongping County in the city of Tai’an. (Xinhua)
