ฟิลิปปินส์สลด! – วันที่ 14 เม.ย. เอเอฟพี รายงานความคืบหน้าสถานการณ์ภัยพิบัติใน ฟิลิปปินส์ ภายหลัง พายุโซนร้อนเมกี พัดถล่มตั้งแต่วันที่ 8 เม.ย. จนเกิดน้ำท่วมสูงและดินโคลนถล่มเป็นบริเวณกว้างว่า
พบผู้เสียชีวิตเพิ่มเป็นอย่างน้อย 133 ราย ในจำนวนนี้มีประชาชนในเขตเทศบาลอาบูยอกเสียชีวิตจากเหตุดินถล่มทับหมู่บ้าน 28 ราย และยังผู้สูญหายมากกว่า 100 คน
ขณะที่เมืองเบย์เบย์ซิตี จังหวัดเลย์เต ทางตอนกลาง พบร่างผู้เสียชีวิตเพิ่มเป็น 86 ราย และที่หมู่บ้านเมืองคันทักนอสในจังหวัดเลย์เต มีผู้เสียชีวิต 32 ราย
