ฮ่องกงสั่งกำจัด “มะม่วง” – บลูมเบิร์กและ สเตรตส์ไทมส์ รายงานว่า ศูนย์ความปลอดภัยด้านอาหารของฮ่องกงมีคำสั่งให้กำจัด มะม่วง ราว 200 กิโลกรัมจากไต้หวัน

หลังพบร่องรอยของเชื้อโควิด-19 บนเปลือกมะม่วงนำเข้าอย่างน้อย 1 ลูก ซึ่งการตรวจสอบดังกล่าวเป็นหนึ่งในมาตรการเฝ้าระวังเพื่อป้องกันการระบาดหนักของโควิด-19 อีกระลอก

ด้านสภาเกษตรไต้หวันแถลงตอบโต้ว่ามาตรการดังกล่าวไม่เป็นวิทยาศาสตร์ เนื่องจากไม่มีหลักฐานบ่งชี้ว่าร่องรอยของเชื้อโควิด-19 บนเปลือกผลไม้ รวมถึงในอาหาร และบรรจุภัณฑ์อาหารจะเป็นอันตรายร้ายแรงต่อผู้บริโภค

สำหรับสถานการณ์โควิด-19 ในฮ่องกง พบผู้ป่วยรายวันใน 24 ชั่วโมงอีก 2,815 คน และเสียชีวิตเพิ่มอีก 1 ราย รวมแล้วมีผู้ติดเชื้อสะสมอย่างน้อย 1,259,094 คน และเสียชีวิต 9,406 ราย
