ทัพอิสราเอลบุกทลาย – วันที่ 23 ก.พ. บีบีซี รายงานว่า กองทัพอิสราเอลนำกำลังบุกค้นบ้าน 4 หลังในย่านชุมชนของเมืองนาบลัสหรือนาบลุส เขตเวสต์แบงก์ เมื่อช่วงเช้าวันพุธที่ 22 ก.พ.ตามเวลาท้องถิ่น เพื่อทลาย กลุ่มถ้ำสิงห์ กองกำลังติดอาวุธของปาเลสไตน์ และเกิดการปะทะดุเดือด มีเสียงระเบิดและเสียงยิงปืนดังสนั่นต่อเนื่องเกือบตลอดการบุกค้นซึ่งใช้เวลาร่วม 4 ชั่วโมง
โดยกองทัพอิสราเอลระบุว่าสามารถสังหารสมาชิกกลุ่มถ้ำสิงห์ซึ่งเป็นที่ต้องการตัว 3 ราย ขณะที่กระทรวงสาธารณสุขปาเลสไตน์เผยว่ามีผู้เสียชีวิตจากเหตุดังกล่าวอย่างน้อย 11 ราย
ในจำนวนนี้มีประชาชนถูกลูกหลงหลายราย รวมถึงชายสูงวัยอายุ 72 ปี และชายหนุ่มวัย 16 ปี นอกจากนี้ยังมีผู้ได้รับบาดเจ็บมากกว่า 100 คน และเจ้าหน้าที่เร่งส่งตัวไปรักษาที่โรงพยาบาล 5 แห่งในเมืองนาบลัส
