ด้านศูนย์ประสานงานไฟป่าแคนาดา (CIFFC) เปิดเผยว่าปีนี้แคนาดาพบไฟป่าแล้วอย่างน้อย 2,392 จุด รวมพื้นที่ถูกเผาเสียหายทั่วทั้งประเทศราว 4.4 ล้านเฮกตาร์ หรือประมาณ 27.5 ล้านไร่ มากกว่าค่าเฉลี่ยต่อปีในช่วงทศวรรษที่ผ่านมา
