รายงานระบุว่าการบินบนดาวอังคารครั้งที่ 60 มีกำหนดจะเกิดขึ้นเร็วที่สุดในวันที่ 25 ก.ย.ที่จะถึงนี้ และคาดว่าเฮลิคอปเตอร์จะบินสูงราว 10 เมตร เป็นระยะทางราว 326 เมตร ด้วยระยะเวลาราว 124 วินาที
จับตา “เฮลิคอปเตอร์อินเจนูอิตี” – NASA’s Mars helicopter will conduct its 60th flight on the Red Planet soon, the agency said on Friday. The 60th flight is scheduled for no earlier than Sept. 25. The helicopter is expected to reach an altitude of about 10 meters and travel about 326 meters for about 124 seconds, according to NASA.
เฮลิคอปเตอร์ “อินเจนูอิตี” (Ingenuity) ซึ่งถูกติดกับส่วนท้องยานสำรวจพื้นผิว “เพอร์เซเวียแรนส์” (Perseverance) ลงจอดบนหลุมอุกกาบาตเจซีโรของดาวอังคาร เมื่อวันที่ 18 ก.พ.2565
นาซาระบุอีกว่าเฮลิคอปเตอร์อินเจนูอิตีถือเป็นการสาธิตเทคโนโลยีเพื่อทดสอบการบินด้วยพลังงานบนดาวเคราะห์ดวงอื่นครั้งแรก ทั้งนี้ เฮลิคอปเตอร์อินเจนูอิตีถูกออกแบบให้บินได้นาน 90 วินาที เป็นระยะทางเกือบ 300 เมตรต่อครั้ง และสูงจากพื้นผิวราว 3-4.5 เมตร
