หลังทรงเข้ารับการผ่าตัดช่องพระอุทร (ช่องท้อง) ซึ่งประสบความสำเร็จด้วยดีเมื่อวันอังคารที่ 16 ม.ค.ที่ผ่านมา โดยไม่เปิดเผยรายละเอียดแต่ย้ำว่าไม่เกี่ยวข้องกับโรคมะเร็ง
นอกจากนี้ยังมีรายงานว่าเจ้าชายวิลเลียมจะทรงลดพระกรณียกิจในช่วงที่เจ้าหญิงแคตเธอรีนทรงพักฟื้นเพื่อดูแลพระโอรสและพระธิดาทั้งสามพระองค์ ขณะเดียวกันสำนักพระราชวังบักกิงแฮมแถลงว่า สมเด็จพระเจ้าชาร์ลส์ที่ 3 จะทรงเข้ารับการรักษาพระโรคต่อมลูกหมากโตในสัปดาห์หน้า
