มีจุดศูนย์กลางห่างจากเมืองอันโตฟากัสตา เมืองท่าทางตอนเหนือของ ประเทศชิลี ราว 265 กิโลเมตร และอยู่ลึกลงไป 126 กิโลเมตร เบื้องต้นไม่มีประกาศเตือนภัยสึนามิ และยังไม่มีรายงานพบผู้เสียชีวิตหรือความเสียหายร้ายแรง
ผวาดินไหวแรง – A major magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck northern Chile on Thursday, the United States Geological Survey said, with no tsunami warning immediately issued. The epicenter of the tremor was located 265 kilometers east of the coastal city of Antofagasta, at a depth of 126 kilometers. /earthquake.usgs.gov/
