กรุงโซลอ่วมหนัก! – เอเอฟพี รายงานวันที่ 16 ส.ค. ถึงสภาพอากาศสุดขั้วใน เกาหลีใต้หลังเผชิญหน้ากับ “คืนเขตร้อน” (Tropical Night) หรืออุณหภูมิช่วงกลางคืนที่สูงกว่า 25 องศาเซลเซียส
โดยกรุงโซล เมืองหลวงของเกาหลีใต้ ประสบกับคืนเขตร้อนติดต่อกันเป็นคืนที่ 26 ถือเป็นสถิติที่ยาวนานที่สุดในรอบ 118 ปี นับตั้งแต่เริ่มมีการสังเกตการณ์สภาพอากาศแบบสมัยใหม่เมื่อปี 2450

นายยุน คีฮัน ผู้อำนวยการแผนกพยากรณ์อุตุนิยมวิทยาของกรุงโซล เปิดเผยว่า “ไม่มีอากาศเย็นพัดมาจากทางเหนือและเพราะเราได้รับผลกระทบจากอากาศทางตะวันตกเฉียงใต้ที่อุ่นกว่า อุณหภูมิต่อเนื่องที่บันทึกค่าได้จึงอยู่ราวๆ 25 องศาเซลเซียสหรือสูงกว่า”
ก่อนเสริมว่าเกือบทั่วทั้งโลกกำลังเผชิญกับฤดูร้อนที่ร้อนจัด และว่าแม้สถิติล่าสุดจะเท่ากับสถิติที่บันทึกไว้เมื่อปี 2561 แต่คาดว่ากรุงโซลจะมีอุณหภูมิสูงจนถึงปลายเดือนส.ค. และอาจทำลายสถิติใหม่ได้ทุกวัน
