กต. เผย “ไต้ฝุ่นกองเร็ย” – นายนิกรเดช พลางกูร อธิบดีกรมสารนิเทศ และโฆษกกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เปิดเผยว่า สำนักงานการค้าและเศรษฐกิจไทเป รายงานว่าจากผลกระทบของ “พายุไต้ฝุ่นกองเร็ย” บริเวณตอนกลางและภตอนใต้ของไต้หวัน ทำให้เกิดอุทกภัยจากปริมาณน้ำฝนที่ตกหนักอย่างต่อเนื่องส่งผลให้มีผู้เสียชีวิตอย่างน้อย 2 ราย และบาดเจ็บ 205 ราย

สำหรับผู้เสียชีวิตที่เป็นบุคคลสัญชาติไทย ทราบชื่อคือ น.ส.รุ้งสินีย์ ฮ่อธิวงศ์ มีภูมิลำเนาอยู่ที่จังหวัดสุโขทัย เสียชีวิตจากอุบัติเหตุทางรถยนต์ที่เมืองหนานโถวขณะเดินทางไปกับนายจ้างชาวไต้หวัน
ทั้งนี้ สำนักงานการค้าและเศรษฐกิจไทเปได้ประสานงานกับกระทรวงแรงงานและทางการท้องถิ่นอย่างใกล้ชิด โดยกระทรวงแรงงานได้ติดต่อญาติผู้เสียชีวิตเพื่อแจ้งรายละเอียดเกี่ยวกับสิทธิประโยชน์และเงินทดแทนแล้ว กระทรวงการต่างประเทศขอแสดงความเสียใจอย่างสุดซึ้งต่อญาติผู้เสียชีวิตจากผลกระทบของพายุไต้ฝุ่นกองเร็ยในไต้หวัน
