เครื่องรางดังกล่าวมีลักษณะเป็นแมงป่องยืนแบบหัวชนหาง 2 ตัว ซึ่งแมงป่องถือเป็นสัญลักษณ์ตัวแทน “เทพธิดาเซอร์เค็ต” (Serket) ของอียิปต์ ผู้เป็นเทพแห่งการปกป้องโดยเฉพาะชีวิตหลังความตาย นอกจากนี้ยังมีสัญลักษณ์ “เนเฟอร์” (nefer) อันหมายถึงความดีหรือผู้ถูกเลือกด้วย
