“หลานม่า” ไม่เข้ารอบ! – เว็บไซต์ ออสการ์ และ เพจออสการ์ ซึ่งถ่ายทอดสดผ่านยูทูบ ประกาศรายชื่อภาพยนตร์นานาชาติ 5 เรื่องที่จะเข้าชิง รางวัลออสการ์ ครั้งที่ 97 สาขาภาพยนตร์ภาษาต่างประเทศยอดเยี่ยม (Best International Feature Film) หลังรอบแรกคัดเลือกไปแล้ว 15 เรื่องจาก 85 เรื่องที่ผ่านเกณฑ์ซึ่งมีเรื่อง หลานม่า หรือ How to Make Millions before Grandma Dies ของประเทศไทยด้วย
สำหรับภาพยนตร์ 5 เรื่องที่สมาชิกของสถาบันศิลปะและวิทยาการภาพยนตร์หรือดิ อะคาเดมี (the Academy) ร่วมลงคะแนนเลือกให้เข้ารอบและจะต้องไปลุ้นรางวัลในการประกาศผลรอบสุดท้ายในวันที่ 3 มี.ค. มีดังนี้
บราซิล – I’m Still Here
เดนมาร์ก – The Girl with the Needle
ฝรั่งเศส – Emilia Pérez
เยอรมนี – The Seed of the Sacred Fig
ลัตเวีย – Flow
Thailand also makes history today with How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies. The country has submitted 24 films since 1984 but has so far never advanced to the shortlist. Pat Boonnitipat’s tear-jerking comedy-drama has since became a pan-Asian box office sensation since April, grossing upwards of $70 million worldwide.
A first is the advancement of Flow, the animated fantasy adventure gives Latvia its inaugural appearance on the shortlist in this category.
In the mix on shortlist are such expected titles as Jacques Audiard’s Emilia Pérez from France, Walter Salles’ Brazilian drama I’m Still Here and Iranian filmmaker Mohammad Rasoulof’s The Seed of the Sacred Fig, which is Germany’s submission.
This year’s Oscar nominations will be unveiled on January 23, 2025 in an announcement postponed by the devastating Los Angeles wildfires, with transgender cartel musical “Emilia Perez” expected to lead a highly competitive field. (Photo by PEDRO UGARTE / AFP)
