ศิลปะไม่ได้เติบโตอย่างโดดเดี่ยว แต่เกิดจากผู้คน เมือง และกาลเวลาที่เดินมาพร้อมกัน
ตั้งแต่บ้านไม้เก่าอายุร้อยปี เวทีศิลปะร่วมสมัยที่เปลี่ยนแปลงตลอดปี ไปจนถึงสตูดิโอเงียบสงบท่ามกลางธรรมชาติ เส้นทางนี้ทำให้ผู้มาเยือนได้สัมผัส:
- ความเปลี่ยนผ่านของเมือง
- ศิลปะที่สะท้อนยุคสมัย

เส้นทางนี้ ไม่ใช่แค่การชมงานศิลป์ แต่คือการค้นพบ “ตัวตนของเชียงราย” อย่างลึกซึ้ง
ผ่านงานปั้น งานทอ ผืนผ้า บ้านเก่า คาเฟ่ศิลป์ ไปจนถึงพื้นที่สร้างสรรค์รุ่นใหม่ เส้นทางนี้ประกอบด้วย 5 แหล่งเรียนรู้เด่น ที่สะท้อนความงาม ความคิด และวิถีชีวิตของเชียงรายได้อย่างลึกซึ้ง
1. บ้านสิงหไคล – มูลนิธิมดชนะภัย อาคารไม้โคโลเนียล–ล้านนาอายุกว่า 100 ปี ที่เล่าเรื่องรากเหง้าเชียงราย ผ่านบรรยากาศอบอุ่นและนิทรรศการสร้างสรรค์ เป็นพื้นที่ที่เชื่อมอดีตสู่ปัจจุบันอย่างงดงาม
2. พิพิธภัณฑ์ศิลปะร่วมสมัยเมืองเชียงราย (CCAM) หัวใจของศิลปะร่วมสมัยในเชียงราย รวบรวมผลงานศิลปินรุ่นใหญ่–รุ่นใหม่ จัดแสดงหมุนเวียนตลอดปี สะท้อน “เสียงของเมือง” ผ่านงานศิลป์หลากหลายมุมมอง
4. ดอยดินแดง เครื่องปั้นดินเผา สตูดิโอเซรามิกที่เปลี่ยนดินธรรมดาให้เป็นงานศิลปะทรงพลัง ผู้มาเยือนได้สัมผัสงานปั้น–งานเผาอย่างใกล้ชิด เห็นความงามของฝีมือและแรงบันดาลใจจากธรรมชาติ
5. ควายดินดาก อาร์ทเฮ้าส์ พื้นที่ศิลปะที่สะท้อนวิถีชนบทเชียงราย ผ่านงานประติมากรรมดินทำมือ เต็มไปด้วยอารมณ์ ความรู้สึก และความผูกพันของผู้สร้างสรรค์ ถ่ายทอดความงามแบบเรียบง่ายและจริงใจ
6. วิถีไทย วิถียอง บ้านสันทางหลวงชุมชนทอผ้ายองที่นำลวดลายดั้งเดิมมาต่อยอดสู่งานดีไซน์ร่วมสมัย ผ้าทอ เครื่องประดับ และของใช้ทุกชิ้นคืออัตลักษณ์ชาติพันธุ์และภูมิปัญญาที่มีชีวิต

Learning City Art & Architecture Route From Past to Present – An Art Journey that Tells the City’s Story
This route invites travelers to explore Chiang Rai’s “living art city” through historic architecture, contemporary art spaces, nature-inspired creativity, and community wisdom that preserves the essence of Lanna heritage.
Each stop serves as a chapter of the city’s story, revealing that art never grows in isolation—it evolves alongside people, place, and time.
From century-old wooden houses and contemporary art museums with year-round exhibitions, to quiet studios immersed in nature, this route allows visitors to experience:
- the city’s transformation through time
- art that reflects each era
- community ways of life passed down through generations
- and creative forces shaping the future of Chiang Rai
This journey is not only about viewing art but discovering Chiang Rai’s identity.
Through pottery, textiles, architecture, local craft studios, and creative spaces, the route features five signature learning destinations, each reflecting the beauty, spirit, and lifestyle of Chiang Rai in its own unique way.
1. Singha-khlai House – Modchanapai Foundation A 100-year-old colonial–Lanna wooden residence that narrates the roots of Chiang Rai. Once a missionary doctor’s home, it now serves as a warm, creative space filled with exhibitions and community arts—beautifully bridging the past and the present.
2. Chiang Rai Contemporary Art Museum (CCAM) The heart of contemporary art in Chiang Rai, showcasing works by renowned and emerging artists. Its rotating exhibitions throughout the year reveal the “voice of the city” through diverse artistic expressions.
3. Doy Din Dang Pottery A renowned ceramic studio that transforms Chiang Rai’s natural clay into powerful works of art. Visitors can observe the entire process—from molding to firing—appreciating the craftsmanship and the inspiration drawn from nature.
4. Khwai Din Dak Art House An art space reflecting Chiang Rai’s rural simplicity through expressive hand-crafted clay sculptures. Every piece carries emotion, sincerity, and the spirit of local life—celebrating authenticity over perfection.
5. “Withee Thai – Withee Yong” Community, Ban San Thang Luang A living museum of Yong weaving heritage, where traditional motifs meet contemporary design. Textiles, accessories, and handcrafted items represent rich ethnic identity and generations of artisanal wisdom.
