เชียงราย คือเมืองที่วัฒนธรรมไม่ได้ถูกเก็บไว้ในหนังสือประวัติศาสตร์ แต่ “มีชีวิต” อยู่ในทุกลมหายใจของผู้คนบนผืนดินนี้ เส้นทางแหล่งเรียนรู้ด้านวิถีชีวิต การค้า ผ้าล้านนา และชาติพันธุ์ จึงถูกออกแบบขึ้นเพื่อเปิดประตูให้ผู้มาเยือนสัมผัสรากเหง้าของเชียงรายในแบบที่ลึกซึ้งกว่าการท่องเที่ยวทั่วไป
นี่คือเส้นทางที่พาเราเดินทางผ่านเรื่องราวของผู้คนหลากหลายกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ ผ่านวิถีการปลูกกาแฟ–ชาแบบดั้งเดิม ผ่านเสียงภาษา อาหาร และพิธีกรรมที่ยังคงสืบทอด
ผ่านงานหัตถกรรมผ้าล้านนาที่คือมรดกบนปลายฝีเข็ม และผ่านประวัติศาสตร์ของการตั้งถิ่นฐานบนดอยสูงกว่า 700 ปี
ทุกพื้นที่ที่ก้าวเข้าไปคือ “ห้องเรียนมีชีวิต” ที่บอกเล่าตัวตนเชียงรายผ่านสายใยของชุมชนและภูมิปัญญาที่หยั่งรากลึกอยู่กับผืนดิน ผืนป่า และผู้คน
ไฮไลต์แห่งการเรียนรู้บนเส้นทางนี้
1. วัดพระธาตุดอยจอมทอง – ต้นธารศรัทธาแห่งล้านนา
วัดศักดิ์สิทธิ์ที่เก่าแก่ที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งของเชียงราย เชื่อกันว่ามีมาก่อนการสร้างเมือง พระธาตุที่ตั้งบนเนินเขาเผยให้เห็นวิวเมืองที่งดงาม และบอกเล่ารากฐานความศรัทธาที่หล่อหลอมชีวิตผู้คนลุ่มน้ำกกมาตั้งแต่โบราณ
2. Akhaza Coffee Farm – กาแฟจากป่า…เรื่องราวจากผู้คน
ไร่กาแฟที่โอบล้อมด้วยผืนป่าต้นน้ำบนดอยแม่มอญ ที่นี่ทุกเมล็ดกาแฟเติบโตจากระบบนิเวศธรรมชาติ ผู้มาเยือนจะได้เรียนรู้เส้นทางของกาแฟตั้งแต่ต้นน้ำถึงปลายน้ำ พร้อมเปิดมุมมองใหม่ว่า “กาแฟหนึ่งแก้ว” คือผลลัพธ์ของความร่วมมือระหว่างธรรมชาติและชุมชนผู้ปลูก
3. ชุมชนวาวี – ดินแดนชาอู่หลงและพหุวัฒนธรรมบนดอยสูง
บ้านของชนเผ่าอาข่า เย้า ม้ง ไทยใหญ่ จีนฮ่อ และอีกหลายกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ ที่มารวมตัวกันจนเกิดเป็นสังคมหลากหลายสีสัน วาวีเป็นแหล่งปลูกชาอู่หลงแห่งแรกของไทย ผู้มาเยือนจะได้เรียนรู้การทำชาดั้งเดิม ชมไร่ชาขั้นบันได และสัมผัสวัฒนธรรมชนเผ่าที่รักษาไว้ได้อย่างงดงาม
4. ชุมชนโป่งแดง – วิถีไทลื้อและความยั่งยืนริมผืนน้ำ
ชุมชนไทลื้อที่ยังคงรักษาภาษา การแต่งกาย อาหาร และภูมิปัญญาไว้ครบถ้วน โป่งแดงขึ้นชื่อเรื่องการท่องเที่ยวเชิงนิเวศ เช่น ล่องแพ ตกปลา ทำเกษตรพื้นบ้าน รวมถึงกิจกรรมปลูกป่าด้วยเมล็ดพันธุ์แบบหนังสติ๊ก—บทเรียนเกี่ยวกับการอยู่ร่วมกับธรรมชาติที่ทั้งสนุกและเปี่ยมความหมาย
5. Gumpor Art Studio – ศิลปะร่วมสมัยที่เติบโตจากรากชุมชน
สตูดิโอของศิลปินท้องถิ่น “กำปอ” ที่นำเรื่องราวชีวิต ชุมชน และธรรมชาติบนดอย มาถ่ายทอดเป็นงานศิลปะร่วมสมัย ผู้มาเยือนสามารถพูดคุยแลกเปลี่ยนกับศิลปินอย่างใกล้ชิด ทำให้ศิลปะกลายเป็นอีกหนึ่งภาษาที่ช่วยเล่าเรื่องตัวตนของเชียงรายได้อย่างงดงาม

Across Chiang Rai’s Living Communities Tracing Heritage Through People and Land
Chiang Rai is a city where culture is not confined to museums or history books — it lives in every breath, every community, and every inch of its land.
The Lanna Lifestyle, Ethnic Cultures & Local Trade Learning Route was created to open a doorway for visitors to truly connect with Chiang Rai’s roots, far beyond the experience of ordinary travel.
This route takes travelers through the lives and stories of diverse ethnic groups; through traditional coffee and tea cultivation; through languages, food, and rituals that continue to be passed down; through Lanna textiles crafted with centuries-old knowledge; and through the historical paths of mountain settlements dating back more than 700 years.
Every stop along the way becomes a “living classroom” where Chiang Rai’s identity is learned through its people, its land, and its deep cultural wisdom.
Highlights Along the Route
1. Wat Phra That Doi Chom Thong – A Sacred Lanna Heritage
One of the oldest and most revered religious sites in Chiang Rai, believed to predate the city itself. The pagoda sits atop a hill overlooking the city, embodying the deep spiritual roots that have shaped life along the Kok River for centuries.
2. Akhaza Coffee Farm – Forest-Grown Coffee, Stories of the People
Nestled in the watershed forests of Doi Mae Mon, this coffee farm grows every bean in harmony with nature. Visitors can learn the full journey of coffee from soil to cup, discovering how each brew reflects a partnership between the forest ecosystem and mountain communities.
3. Wawee Community – The Birthplace of Oolong Tea and a Mosaic of Cultures
Home to Akha, Yao, Hmong, Tai Yai, Haw Chinese, and other ethnic groups, Wawee is a vibrant multicultural village on the highlands.
Known as the first oolong tea-growing area in Thailand, it offers visitors a chance to explore tea plantations, learn traditional tea-making, and experience living cultures preserved with pride.
4. Pong Daeng Community – Tai Lue Heritage and Sustainable Living
A Tai Lue village that preserves its traditional language, dress, cuisine, and local wisdom. Pong Daeng is also renowned for eco-based tourism — from bamboo rafting and fishing to forest restoration using seed slingshot techniques — a meaningful reflection of community-led conservation.
5. Gumpor Art Studio – Contemporary Art Rooted in Rural Life
The studio of local artist “Gumpor,” whose work reflects the stories of village life, nature, and community. This warm, welcoming space combines a café, gallery, and creative hub where visitors can converse with the artist and witness how contemporary art grows from local experiences and identity.
