นอกจากนี้ยังมีคำสั่งให้หน่วยดับเพลิงติดตามพื้นที่อันตรายอีก 3 แห่ง ครอบคลุมตอนเหนือของเมืองเลจ-กาป-แฟร์แรต์ แนวป่ารอบๆ เมืองมาร์ชปริม เมืองเซสตัส เขตเทศบาลแซงต์-ฌ็อง-ดิลลาค และพื้นที่ทางทหารใกล้เมืองมาร์ติญาส-ซูร์-ฌัลเล
ขณะเดียวกันเจ้าหน้าที่ดับเพลิงกว่า 2,200 นาย และเครื่องบินกว่า 20 ลำ รวมถึงหน่วยงานจากชาติพันธมิตรในยุโรปเร่งระดมกำลังควบคุมไฟป่า

รายงานระบุด้วยว่าไฟป่าในจังหวัดฌีรงด์ส่งผลให้ประชาชนกว่า 220,000 คนต้องอพยพหนีตาย อย่างไรก็ตาม ราว 60,000 คนได้รับอนุญาตให้กลับบ้านในย่านชานเมืองบอร์โดซ์ที่ไม่ได้รับผลกระทบจากไฟไหม้ แต่ทางการท้องถิ่นเตือนว่าสถานการณ์ยังอันตราย เนื่องจากสภาพอากาศร้อนจัดและลมแรงทำให้ไฟลุกลามได้เร็วขึ้น
