โควิด: โสมใต้ผวาซ้ำสอง – วันที่ 14 ม.ย. เดลีเมล์ รายงานสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาด โรคโควิด-19 ใน เกาหลีใต้ หลังพบผู้ป่วยรักษาหายแล้วอย่างน้อย 116 คนมีผลตรวจหาเชื้อโควิด-19 เป็นบวกอีกครั้ง
ถือเป็นผู้ป่วยติดเชื้อซ้ำกลุ่มที่สองในเกาหลีใต้ และเกิดขึ้นเพียง 1 สัปดาห์หลังจากแพทย์ รวมถึงผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านโรคระบาดยังเร่งตรวจสอบผู้ป่วย 51 คนเมืองแทกูที่ติดเชื้อซ้ำหลังรักษาหายจนโรงพยาบาลอนุญาตให้กลับบ้านได้เมื่อต้นเดือนเม.ย.ที่ผ่านมา

ก่อนหน้านี้ นายชอง อึนคยอง เลขาธิการศูนย์ควบคุมและป้องกันแห่งเกาหลีใต้ (เคซีดีซี) สันนิษฐานว่าไวรัสโคโรนาสายพันธุ์ใหม่ในร่างกายผู้ป่วยกลุ่มนี้ถูกกระตุ้นขึ้นอีกครั้ง มากกว่าจะเป็นการได้รับเชื้อใหม่ พร้อมระบุเชื่อว่าไวรัสชนิดนี้สามารถอยู่ในภาวะสงบนิ่ง ส่งผลให้ตรวจสอบไม่พบว่ามีการติดเชื้อในเซลล์มนุษย์

แม้ยอดผู้ป่วยรายใหม่รายวันทั่วประเทศจะลดลงมาอยู่ที่ 25 คน แต่จำนวนผู้รักษาหายที่ตรวจเจอไวรัสโควิดสายพันธุ์ใหม่กลับเพิ่มขึ้น ขณะที่ยอดผู้ป่วยสะสมอยู่ที่ 10,537 คน ในจำนวนนี้เสียชีวิตแล้ว 217 คน
