อังกฤษล่าแก๊งโจรรถหรู – วันที่ 8 พ.ค. เดลีเมล์ รายงานว่า ตำรวจเทศมณฑลเกรเทอร์แมนเชสเตอร์ ประเทศอังกฤษ เร่งสอบสวนล่าตัวคนร้ายที่บุกขโมย หน้ากากอนามัย กว่า 80,000 ชิ้น มูลค่า 166,000 ปอนด์ หรือราว 6.6 ล้านบาท ไปจากโกดังในเมืองซัลฟอร์ด ซึ่งจัดเตรียมไว้สำหรับนำไปแจกจ่ายให้กับบุคลากรทางการแพทย์ของระบบบริการสุขภาพแห่งชาติ (เอ็นเอชเอส) และเจ้าหน้าที่ประจำบ้านพักผู้สูงวัย
ตำรวจเปิดเผยหลังตรวจสอบว่า เมื่อเวลาราว 21.30 น. ของวันพุธที่ 6 พ.ค.ที่ผ่านมา กลุ่มผู้ต้องสงสัย 3 คน เป็นชาย 2 คน และคาดว่ามีผู้หญิงด้วยอีก 1 คน ลักลอบงัดโกดังเก็บผลิตภัณฑ์อุปกรณ์ป้องกันส่วนบุคคล (พีพีอี) และใช้เวลานาน 2 ชั่วโมงขนลังบรรจุหน้ากากอนามัยจากโกดังไปใส่รถยนต์ 3 คัน ได้แก่ รถเมอร์เซเดสเบนซ์สีขาว รถตู้โฟล์กสวาเกนสีเทา และรถสีเงิน ก่อนขับหายไปอย่างไร้ร่องรอย
เจ้าหน้าที่ระบุอีกว่ามีร่องรอยการรื้อค้นกล่องบรรจุสินค้าทางการแพทย์อื่นๆ แต่มีเพียงหน้ากากอนามัยเท่านั้นที่ถูกขโมยไป พร้อมประณามว่าเป็นการกระทำที่น่ารังเกียจอย่างยิ่ง โดยเฉพาะในช่วงวิกฤต โรคโควิด-19 แพร่ระบาด และหน้ากากอนามัยเหล่านี้เป็นอุปกรณ์สำคัญที่จะรักษาชีวิตเจ้าหน้าที่ทางการแพทย์ซึ่งอยู่แถวหน้าในสมรภูมิสู้ศึกโรคระบาด
