ไบเดนจ่อคว้าชัยรัฐจอร์เจีย – วันที่ 14 พ.ย. บีบีซี และ เอ็นบีซีนิวส์ รายงานความคืบหน้าการ เลือกตั้ง ครั้งประวัติศาสตร์ของ สหรัฐอเมริกา ซึ่งหลังจากผ่านมากว่า 10 วัน ในที่สุดผลการเลือกตั้งอย่างไม่เป็นทางการเมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 13 พ.ย.ตามเวลาท้องถิ่น
ปรากฏว่า นายโจ ไบเดน ผู้แทนจากพรรคเดโมแครต เตรียมนั่งเก้าอี้เป็นประธานาธิบดีคนที่ 46 ของสหรัฐ ภายหลังได้คะแนนคณะผู้เลือกตั้ง 16 เสียงจากรัฐจอร์เจียที่นับคะแนนใหม่เมื่อวันพุธที่ 11 พ.ย. ซึ่งเป็นรัฐสุดท้ายที่นับคะแนน และนับไปแล้วร้อยละ 99
ส่งผลให้นายไบเดนทิ้งห่างประธานาธิบดีโดนัลด์ ทรัมป์ ผู้นำสหรัฐจากพรรครีพับลิกัน ที่เพิ่งตีตื้นได้คะแนนคณะผู้เลือกตั้ง 15 เสียงในรัฐนอร์ทแคโรไลนา
โดยนายไบเดนมีคะแนนคณะผู้เลือกตั้งเพิ่มที่ 306 เสียงต่อ 232 เสียง ส่วนคะแนนเสียงประชาชนหรือป๊อปปูลาร์โหวตนายไบเดนได้ไปอย่างน้อย 78.01 ล้านเสียง ส่วนนายทรัมป์คว้าไปกว่า 72.67 ล้านเสียง
