พายุฝนถล่มนิวซีแลนด์! – วันที่ 21 มี.ค. เอเอฟพี รายงานสถานการณ์ภัยพิบัติใน นิวซีแลนด์ หลังพายุฝนฟ้าคะนองพัดถล่มภูมิภาคนอร์ทแลนด์ ทางเหนือสุดของประเทศ พบผู้เสียชีวิตอย่างน้อย 3 รายจากเหตุเรือประมงอับปาง และเจ้าหน้าที่กำลังเร่งค้นหาผู้สูญหายอีก 2 คน
ด้านสำนักงานอุตุนิยมวิทยานิวซีแลนด์แถลงว่าเมืองโอ๊กแลนด์ซึ่งได้รับผลกระทบรุนแรงมีปริมาณน้ำฝนในช่วง 1 ชั่วโมงมากถึง 76.8 มิลลิเมตร สูงสุดในรอบ 5 ปี และทำให้เกิดน้ำท่วมฉับพลันเป็นบริเวณกว้าง ถนนหลายสายถูกตัดขาด โรงเรียนประกาศปิดชั่วคราว และเรือข้ามฟากระงับให้บริการ
