เวียดนามจ่อแบน “ถุงพลาสติก” – ซินหัว ระบุจากสำนักข่าวเวียดนามว่าเวียดนามจะสั่งห้ามใช้ “ถุงพลาสติก” ทั้งหมด ซึ่งรวมถึงถุงพลาสติกในตลาดสด ภายในปี 2573 หรืออีก 8 ปีข้างหน้า
รายงานอ้างอิงกระทรวงทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมเวียดนาม ซึ่งเผยว่าเวียดนามยังตั้งเป้าให้ศูนย์การค้าและซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ตเปลี่ยนมาใช้ถุงที่เป็นมิตรกับสิ่งแวดล้อม ภายในปี 2568

ผลสำรวจโดยสถาบันยุทธศาสตร์และนโยบายด้านทรัพยากรและสิ่งแวดล้อมแห่งชาติ สังกัดกระทรวงทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมเวียดนาม ชี้ว่าซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ตของเวียดนามใช้ถุงพลาสติกแบบใช้ครั้งเดียวทิ้งมากถึง 104,000 ใบต่อวัน หรือคิดเป็น 38 ล้านใบต่อปี
ด้านธนาคารโลกระบุว่าชาวเวียดนามใช้พลาสติกราว 3.9 ล้านตันต่อปี แต่พลาสติกที่ถูกนำกลับมาใช้ใหม่มีเพียง 1.28 ล้านตันเท่านั้น พร้อมเสริมว่าพลาสติกมักถูกนำไปใช้ในหลากหลายอุตสาหกรรมของประเทศ อาทิ บรรจุภัณฑ์ สินค้าอุปโภคบริโภค อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ ยานยนต์ การบิน สิ่งทอ และเกษตรกรรม
