รถบรรทุกน้ำมัน “ระเบิด-ไฟลามเผาวอด” – เอเอฟพี รายงานวันที่ 1 ส.ค. ว่า เกิดเหตุรถบรรทุกน้ำมันระเบิดในเมืองเซบา ทางตอนใต้ของ ประเทศลิเบีย ส่งผลให้มีผู้เสียชีวิตอย่างน้อย 6 ราย และหลายสิบคนบาดเจ็บ
ด้านสื่อท้องถิ่นระบุว่ามีผู้เสียชีวิตแล้ว 7 ราย มากกว่า 50 คนได้รับบาดเจ็บ และเหตุการณ์นี้เกิดขึ้นในช่วงที่ฝูงชนจำนวนมากยืนห้อมล้อมรถบรรทุกซึ่งมุ่งหน้าไปเติมน้ำมันที่สถานีบริการเชื้อเพลิงในเขตเบนต์เบย์ยาห์
แต่จู่ๆ เกิดระเบิดและมีเพลิงไหม้ลุกลามเผาวอดรถยนต์หลายคัน ขณะเดียวกันผู้คนในที่เกิดเหตุก็แตกตื่นวิ่งเหยียบกันอย่างโกลาหล
At least six people were killed and dozens injured on Monday when a fuel truck exploded in southwestern Libya, medics said. The precise causes of the blast were not clear. It happened when a crowd flocked around the tanker as it headed to resupply a petrol station in the Bent Bayyah district. /Twitter/

ทั้งนี้ ลิเบียเป็นประเทศที่มีปริมาณน้ำมันสำรองมากที่สุดในแอฟริกา แต่ด้วยวิกฤตคอร์รัปชั่นและปัญหาการขโมยน้ำมันไปขายให้ประเทศเพื่อนบ้าน ส่งผลให้ลิเบียมีน้ำมันไม่เพียงพอต่อความต้องการบ่อยครั้ง

An official at the main hospital in Sebha, southern Libya’s main city, told AFP six people had died. The hospital’s management said on Facebook that “more than 50 wounded were admitted to Sebha hospital”, without indicating the number of deaths. /Twitter/
