แม้หน่วยดับเพลิงในหลายเมืองใกล้เคียงจะระดมกำลังเจ้าหน้าที่รุดไปยังจุดเกิดเหตุทันที แต่ต้องใช้เวลานานกว่า 4 ชั่วโมงจึงสามารถพาผู้โดยสารทั้งหมดลงมาจากเครื่องเล่นได้อย่างปลอดภัย ก่อนหน่วยฉุกเฉินจะนำตัวส่งโรงพยาบาล

The Crandon Fire Department stated that there was a mechanical failure causing the ride to become stuck in the upright position, but the exact cause remains unknown. There were eight people stuck in the nightmarish incident, and seven of them were children, authorities said.
