ดินไหว 7.1 แม็กนิจูดใน “ทะเลบาหลี” – วันที่ 29 ส.ค. รอยเตอร์ รายงานว่า เมื่อเวลาเช้าตรู่ก่อนเวลา 04.00 น. ตามเวลาท้องถิ่นของอินโดนีเซีย เกิด แผ่นดินไหวรุนแรง ในพื้นที่ทะเลบาหลี
โดยศูนย์แผ่นดินไหวยุโรป-เมดิเตอร์เรเนียน (อีเอ็มเอสซี) ระบุว่ามีแรงสั่นสะเทือน 7.0 แม็กนิจูด ขณะที่สำนักงานสำรวจธรณีวิทยาสหรัฐอเมริกา (ยูเอสจีเอส) ระบุว่าเป็นแผ่นดินไหวขนาด 7.1 แม็กนิจูด มีจุดศูนย์กลางในทะเลห่างจากเมืองมาตารัมไปทางเหนือ 203 กิโลเมตร และอยู่ลึกลงไป 516 กิโลเมตร

แม้จะเกิดขึ้นลึกมากแต่แรงสั่นสะเทือนรับรู้ได้ทั่วบริเวณเกาะบาหลีและเกาะลอมบอก นอกจากนี้ยังเกิดแผ่นดินไหวแรงตามมาอีก 2 ครั้ง ขนาด 6.1 แม็กนิจูด และ 6.5 แม็กนิจูด เบื้องต้นยังไม่มีรายงานความเสียหายร้ายแรง รวมถึงยังไม่พบผู้เสียชีวิตหรือได้รับบาดเจ็บ
โฆษกสำนักงานบรรเทาภัยพิบัติแห่งชาติของอินโดนีเซีย (บีเอ็นพีบี) ระบุว่าแผ่นดินไหวเกิดขึ้นที่ความลึกมาและคาดว่าจะไม่ส่งผลกระทบรุนแรง ถึงอย่างนั้นนักท่องเที่ยวจำนวนมากบนเกาะบาหลีแตกตื่นพากันวิ่งหนีออกจากห้องพักในโรงแรม ขณะเดียวกันระบบเตือนภัยสึนามิของสหรัฐระบุว่าไม่มีภัยคุกคามสึนามิ เนื่องจากแผ่นดินไหวเกิดขึ้นใต้ทะเลลึก

ดินไหว 7.1 แม็กนิจูดใน “ทะเลบาหลี” – A magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck the Bali Sea region of Indonesia early on Tuesday morning, the EMSC said. The quake’s epicentre was 203km north of Mataram, Indonesia, and very deep at 516km below the Earth’s surface, EMSC said. The US Geological Survey pegged the magnitude at 7.1. /earthquake.usgs.gov/

The US Tsunami Warning System said there were no threats of a tsunami as a result of the earthquake that struck deep under the seabed.
