ทัพเมียนมา “โจมตีทางอากาศ” – วันที่ 28 ก.ย. เอเอฟพี รายงานว่า เครื่องบินของกองทัพเมียนมา โจมตีทางอากาศ ในเมืองล่าเสี้ยว รัฐฉาน ทางตะวันออกของประเทศ เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 27 ก.ย.ที่ผ่านมา
ไม่นานหลังจากรัฐบาลทหารเมียนมาเชิญชวนกลุ่มติดอาวุธฝ่ายต่อต้านร่วมการเจรจาและยุติการต่อสู้เพื่อนำสันติภาพกลับสู่ประเทศเมื่อวันที่ 26 ก.ย.

ภายหลังกองทัพเผชิญหน้ากับความพ่ายแพ้ในการต่อสู้กับกลุ่มติดอาวุธชนชาติพันธุ์และกองกำลังพิทักษ์ประชาชน (พีดีเอฟ) หลายครั้งในช่วงไม่กี่เดือนที่ผ่านมา
รวมถึงเมื่อเดือนส.ค. ที่กองทัพพันธมิตรประชาธิปไตยแห่งชาติเมียนมา (เอ็มเอ็นดีเอเอ) ยึดเมืองล่าเสี้ยวซึ่งมีประชากรราว 150,000 คน และถือเป็นเมืองใหญ่ที่สุดที่ตกอยู่ภายใต้การยึดครองของฝ่ายต่อต้านรัฐบาลนับตั้งแต่ปี 2505
ชาวบ้านเปิดเผยว่าได้ยินเสียงระเบิด 2 ครั้ง มีรายงานด้วยว่าพบผู้เสียชีวิตแล้ว 5 ราย และมีผู้ได้รับบาดเจ็บจำนวนมาก ขณะเดียวกันเจ้าหน้าที่ทางการทูตในนครย่างกุ้งกล่าวถึงข้อเสนอของรัฐบาลทหารเมียนมาว่าจนถึงตอนนี้ยังไม่เห็นแนวโน้มที่จะปรองดองกันอย่างจริงจัง
